Lady Trader For Belmont Oaks

Trainer Joe Byrne has set Lady Trader for the Listed $80,000 Belmont Oaks (2000m) at Belmont Park tomorrow week. (July 6)
Lady Trader fought on strongly to win the Tabtouch.mobi Handicap (2200m) at the same track on Wednesday.
After the race Byrne revealed that Lady Trader had covered from a broken pelvis.
“She handled the 2200m well so the Oaks distance will hold no problems,” said Byrne. “And Wednesday’s run should top her off nicely.
“We can now play around with her at the beach until the classic.
“Troy Turner is the best rider over ground. That’s why I wanted him on Wednesday.
“I wanted him to get a good feel of her,  come back and say he will ride her in the Oaks. Hopefully that’s the way it will turn out.”
Lady Trader, by Trade Fair from Lady Kiseki, by Fuji Kiseki, and inbred 3 x 3 to Danehill, has sound staying credentials.
Lady Kiseki won three times, from 1600m to 2400m, and is a full sister to Just A Kiseki and a half-sister to Mr Trickster. Just A Kiseki won six times, from 1600m to 2400m, including the Listed ATA Stakes and Mr Trickster won five times, from 1418m to 2020m including the Listed Victoria Gold Cup and Four ‘n Twenty Stakes.
Lady Trader continued Trade Fair’s strong winning run.
Another of his progeny, Fairly Wild, easily took the William Chidlow Maiden (1400m) at Northam on Thursday. Fairly Wild, a full sister to the six-time winner Wild Charger, is also inbred 3 x 3 to Danehill.
