2Y0 Nobel Dancer, starting at 50/1 on debut, was held-up till the two-furlong mark than finished hard to win the Magners Irish Cider Handicap (five furlongs) in 59.94sec. on yielding going at Down Royal in Ireland on Friday.
Then 3Y0 Black Dynamite, the $3.50 favourite racing against older company, sprinted along the inside with the meeting best 33.66sec. final 600m to win the Terrace Restaurant – Book Now Handicap (1000m) in 58.15sec. under soft5 conditions at Belmont Park on Saturday.
Nobel Dancer, ridden by Robbie Downey for trainer Keith Clarke, beat the even money favourite Giselle’s Charm, a last start Navan winner.
Black Dynamite, ridden by Jarrad Nose for trainer Brian Kersley, was racing second-up having also won the Westspeed Nominations Closing July 15 Handicap (1000m) on July 13. He has developed into an exciting proposition with four wins from six career starts.
Alfred Nobel stands the 2016 season at $4,500, plus GST.
