Another Nobel Win

Alfred Nobel’s Honeysuckle Lil set the pace and fought strongly to win the Michael Padley Memorial (six furlongs) at Ripon in England yesterday.

Honeysuckle Lil, ridden by David Allen for North Yorkshire trainer Tim Easterby, started second favourite at 9/2 and beat Lazy Days In Loule (10/1) by a length with Final Venture (6/1) 1 3/4 lengths away third.
Honeysuckle Lil also won the British Stallion Stakes (six furlongs) at Newcastle in her initial campaign last year.
Alfred Nobel, the current leading WA first season sire and fourth on the national list, stands the coming season at Lynward Park, Bullsbrook, for $4,500, plus GST. There has been heavy early demand for nominations.
