A ‘Fair’ Weekend

What a versatile weekend for WA stallion Trade Fair.

Firstly, Packing Whiz was third to Glorious Days and Gold Fun in the Group 1 Hong Kong Mile at Sha Tin on Sunday.
Then, with the jumping season in full swing in the UK, Basford Ben won at Wetherby on Saturday and Tough Trade was successful at Kelso on Sunday.
Basford Ben, from Moly, by Anabaa, won the 3 mile 1 furlong Novices’ Handicap Chase by 2 lengths and Tough Trade, from Cesana, by Desert Prince, won the 2 mile 1/2 furlong Novices’ Hurdle by 3 lengths.
Packing Whiz, ridden by Brett Prebble for trainer Caspar Fownes, was steadied after the start then held-up towards the rear and finished strongly to be beaten 1 1/4 lengths in 1.33.60 racing second-up. He has won at five of 11 starts and been successful in Group and Listed company in Italy and twice  in Group company in Hong Kong.
