Alfred Nobel 3Y0 filly Bread led and was eased down winning the Business Handicap (six furlongs) at Wolverhampton in England yesterday. (August 6)
Bread, the favourite at 7/4 and ridden by Brazilian Silvestre De Sousa for South Yorkshire trainer Ivan Furtado, beat Beauty’s Forte (14/1) by 1 3/4 lengths. The USA-bred Kaaber (6/1) was third.
Alfred Nobel has 22 individual winners and 14 individual place getters from his first two northern hemisphere and first southern hemisphere crops.
