Full Steam Ahead and Traded Halo quinellaed the United Overseas Australia Handicap (1600m) at Ascot on Saturday.
Then on the same day Crystal Swing won the Betfair Handicap (2 1/2 miles) in England and Sunshine Tacker was successful in The Ashley (1200m) in Macau.
The great winning run continued when Fuchsia Bandana won the Westspeed 3Y0 Handicap (1000m) at Ascot on Wednesday and Corporate Larrikin took the Twitter.com/Perthracing Handicap (1200m) on the same programme.
Fuchsia Bandana has won at three of her last four starts and has finished in the first two at five of six career runs.
“She’s a lovely scopey filly,” said trainer Darren McAuliffe. “I have a lot of time for her.
“She went shin sore five or six times so we’ve had to be patient. Our patience is starting to be rewarded.”
Corporate Larrikin’s win was his third in succession having been successful in the Southern Haulage Industries Handicap (1205m) at Mt Barker and the Landmark Handicap (1200m) at Albany.
“We’ve always had an opinion of him,” said trainer Angela Smith. “He’s starting to relax and be a racehorse. He’s starting to put it all together.”
So it’s five wins in five days for Trade Fair – with the distinct promise of better things to come.
