Trade Fair’s Superb Run Continues

Trade Fair’s superb winning run continued when Night Trade was successful in the U.K. yesterday (July 24).
Night Trade bought up his sixth win, with 17 placings, from 48 starts when taking the six-furlong Red Casino Handicap at the Ffos Las course in a smart 1.10.12 as second favourite at 11/4.
Ffos Las, in Carmarthenshire, Wales, with magnificent views down the Gwendraeth Valley to Camarthen Bay, was formerly the site of the largest open cast coalmine in Europe.
It was opened, with a 60m wide track and miles of drainage, in 2009.
Being just an hour from the Irish ferry terminals, Ffos Las attracts strong fields, as was illustrated in the Red Casino Handicap.
The second placegetter, Selfara, by Oasis Dream, is raced by Prince Khalid Abdullah, owner of the world champion Frankel, and the third placegetter Shaleek, by Pivotal, is raced by Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum.
Night Trade, trained by Ronald Harris and ridden by Raul Da Silva, is from Compton Girl, by Compton Place, a half-sister to Repertory, three-time winner of the Group 3 Prix du Petit Couvert in France.
Trade Fair, who stands at Alwyn Park, Serpentine, had a winning double with Stock Trader and Grand Crusade at Northam last Thursday and Fair Hunter bought up a winning hat-trick when successful at Belmont Park on Saturday.
Trade Fair has sired 99 individual winners.
It’s countdown to the magic 100.
