Alfred Nobel’s Continued Success

Lynward Park shuttler Alfred Nobel continues to achieve outstanding success with his first season northern hemisphere runners.

Vegas Rebel overcame problems in running to win the Blackjack Maiden Stakes (seven furlongs) at Brighton in England yesterday (Tuesday October 7) by 3 1/2-lengths as the 5/4 favourite.
Prepared by dual English Derby winning trainer Peter Chapple-Hyam, he was overdue for success. Vegas Rebel had finished second at Salisbury (beaten 1 3/4-lengths), Nottingham (two lengths), Newmarket (two lengths) and Redcar (neck).
Vegas Rebel is Alfred Nobel’s sixth individual winner from only 19 runners. He also has seven individual place getters with 68 per cent of his first runners  finishing in the money.
Explosive Lady won by 4 1/2 lengths at Nottingham, was second in the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot, second in the 200,000 Tattersall’s Super Sale Stakes at The Curragh and third in the Listed Champion 2Y0 Trophy at Ripon; Run the Red Light won by three lengths at The Curragh; Arthur MartinLeake by  three lengths at Yarmouth; Honeysuckle Lil by 2 1/2 lengths at Newcastle and Aimee was successful in France.
Bridge Aletta, Chetan, Diracan, Everyday, Dynamite Investor, Lethal Legacy and Sheila Belle have been placed.
The result are not surprising. Alfred Nobel won the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes and Group 2 Railway Stakes in Ireland and is from one of Europe’s most successful maternal lines.
