Third Winner For Alfred Nobel

Lynward Park Stud shuttler Alfred Nobel gained the third individual winner from his first crop when Arthur MartinLeake was successful in the Stallion Studs Maiden Stakes (six furlongs) at Yarmouth in England yesterday. (August 7)

Arthur MartinLeake, the 13/8 on favourite, sprinted clear for an easy three length win.
Australian jockey Craig Williams finished 20-length fifth on Avenue Des Champs, who is trained by Jane Chapple-Hyam, the daughter of Andrew Peacock, former leader of the Australian Liberal Party.
Arthur MartinLeake was one-length third to Olivia Fallow in the Bondgate Maiden Stakes (five furlongs) at Ripon on June 18 and 1 1/4-length second to Louie De Palma in the United Kingdom Maiden Stakes (six furlongs) at Windsor on June 23 at his only two previous starts.
“I am delighted with the horse,” said winning trainer Karl Burke. “He deserved to win and now goes for the big sales race at Doncaster.”
Alfred Nobel’s previous winners where Explosive Lady and Aimee. Explosive Lady won by 4 1/2-lengths at Nottingham on debut then finished third in the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot and Aimee was successful in France.
He has also sired the place getters Vegas Rebel, Bridge Aletta, Chetan, Lethal Legacy, Honeysuckle and Everyday from his first 15 runners.
Alfred Nobel, the champion Irish Group 1 winning 2Y0, remains at Coolmore Stud this year but will return to WA for the 2015 breeding season.
