Trade Down and Korenica won at Belmont Park last Saturday, Bumble Bay was successful in England on Wednesday then Power Packed, Bradford Badboy and Carney all won at Pinjarra on Thursday.
Trade Fair’s six individual winners in six days followed four individual winners in four days the previous week and six individual winners in seven days a fortnight ago.
“Trade Fair’s current flood of winners are from his 2008 and 2009 coverings and this is not at all surprising,” said bloodstock agent John Chalmers, who arranged initially for Trade Fair, bred by Prince Khalid Abdullah, the world’s leading owner-breeder, to shuttle here then organised his sale to a syndicate of WA breeders.
“Trade Fair suffered early in his WA career being announced very late in 2006 and attracting an initial book of poor quality and aged mares. He then missed out all together in 2007 through EI.
“It was a most unfortunate start but the current results are what we expected would come through. He covered 104 mares in 2010 and the flow of winners should only increase with runners like top current season two-year-old Django set to make their mark from that season’s coverings.”
