Trade Fair’s Further English Success

Trade Fair 7Y0 Spice Fair continued his top English form with an outstanding win in the World Cup In Play Handicap (14 furlongs) at Sandown on Saturday. (June 14)
Spice Fair, the 3/1 favourite, was held-up at the tail under jockey Ryan Moore and finished hard to score by 1 3/4 lengths.
Moore was champion English jockey in 2006, 2008 and 2009 and has ridden more than 100 winners for each of the past 10 seasons.
Spice Fair had won the Instabet Handicap (two miles) at Kempton at his previous start when the 5/1 equal favourite.
A son of the Italian-bred mare Focosa, by In The Wings, Spice Fair is trained at Saxon House in Upper Lambourn by Mark Usher.
Saxon House was the former home of legendary jumps trainer Fulke Walwyn, who prepared the winners of four Cheltenham Gold Cups from the stables.
Trade Fair’s stock have won from 1000m to 3800m.
