An Exceptional Run Gets Even Better

Trade Fair’s exceptional winning run continued over the WA weekend giving the Alwyn Park Stud based sire 10 individual winners in just over two weeks.

Fuchsia Bandana (ex Fuchsia Lady, by Jeune) won the Skyy Vodka Handicap (1200m) at Ascot on Saturday. Then Redwood Rose (ex Argentine Rose, by Red Ransom) won the Pinjarra Crane Hire Handicap (2000m) at Sunday’s Pinjarra Cup meeting when Fair Achiever (ex Notable Achiever, by Canny Lad) was successful in the Racing Anzac Day Handicap (1200m).
Fuchsia Bandana was bred by Kingston Thorougbreds. Redwood Rose and Fair Achiever were both bred by Allan Young’s Kintore Stud.
Trainer Darren McAuliffe rates 3Y0 filly Fuchsia Bandana ‘ high class.’

Fuchsia Bandana gained her fourth win from seven starts, and remained unbeaten in two runs since resuming, with an easy two length success running 1.10.85 against older rivals.
“She was over the odds at $2,” said McAuliffe.
“I wasn’t worried about drawing barrier 10 in the 13 horse field. I prefer to be wide with her. She can get on the bridle and pull hard. So it’s better to take a sit.
“She’s a very, very nice filly. She’s high class.”
