The Trade Fair winners keep rolling in – from all parts of the racing world.
No Uncertainty won over 1400m at Ipoh, Malaysia, on Sunday then Only Orsenfoolsies romped home by eight lengths over a mile at Beverley in England on a bleak Tuesday when stamina was the order of the day.
No Uncertainty is from Princess Camilla, by King’s Best, and comes from the family of Storm (Group 2 Moonee Valley Cup), Runaway Groom (Group 3 SAJC West End Super Stakes), Regal Sea (Group 3 STC Kingston Town Stakes) and Launay (Listed MRC Redoute’s Choice Handicap).
He was bred by De Gray Park and sold for just $11,000 at the 2009 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale.
Only Orsenfoolsies is from Desert Gold, by Desert Prince, and comes from a “skinny” maternal line that features Mdawee, the champion two-year-old colt in Qatar in 2009.
He cost only $3600 as a foal at Tattersall’s in 2009.
Only Orsenfoolsies gave trainer Micky Hammond a win on his birthday.
“I was hoping the rain would ease – it’s bloody awful here,” the Yorkshire-based Hammond tweeted before the race.
Trade Fair has now sired 104 individual winners.
“Breeders are waking up to Trade Fair’s constant success,” said leading bloodstock agent John Chalmers. “The phone is ringing regularly.
“And why not? He is WA’s in-form stallion and is at a bargain price.”
Trade Fair stands at Alwyn Park, Serpentine, for $4950 (including gst).
