Trade Fair filly shows promise

Trade Fair two-year-old Miss Toria looks set for a bright future following an impressive win at the Belmont Park barrier trials yesterday (March 12).
Miss Toria was making her first public appearance and was kept in hand to win a 400m heat by a neck for jockey William Pike and trainer Sarah Dye in 23.81sec.
Miss Toria, bred by Mr J. Parise, is from Pretoria, by Agnes World, a half-sister to the ill-fated Group 1 BMW Stakes winner Cedarberg.
Pretoria comes from the family of Yorkshire Oaks winner Hellenic, the dam of Group 1 winners Islington, Greek Dance and Mountain High.
Islington won the Group 1 US Breeders Cup Fillies and Mares Turf, Yorkshire Oaks and Nassau Stakes; Greek Dance (who, at one stage, was destined for a stud career at Lynward Park) won the Group 1 Grosser Preis Dullmayr Bayerisches Zuchtrenney in Germany and Mountain High the Group 1 Grand Prix de St Cloud in France.
Trade Fair has sired 90 winners at 59.6 per cent.
