Another Nobel Winner

Lynward Park shuttler Alfred Nobel continued his highly-promising start when Honeysuckle Lil easily won the Stonbury Maiden (six furlongs) at Newcastle in England on Friday. (September 5)

Honeysuckle Lil, having her third start for the leading Yorkshire trainer Tim Easterby, raced mid-field and finished hard to score by 2 1/2 lengths. Easterby is the son of legendary Peter Easterby, the only English trainer to have prepared more than 1000 winners on both the flat and over jumps.
Alfred Nobel, winner of the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes in Ireland and from the outstanding family of champions New Approach, Dazzling Park and Park Express, now has five individual winners and five individual place getters from his first crop to race.
Explosive Lady (a 4 1/2 length debut winner at Nottingham and  third in both the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot and Listed Champion Trophy at Ripon) and Arthur MartinLeake (a 3 length winner at Yarmouth) have also won in England, Run The Red Light was successful by 3 lengths at The Curragh in Ireland and Aimee won in France.
His place getters are Vegas Rebel (three seconds from five runs), Chetan, Diracan and Everyday in England and Bridge Aletta in Italy.
Alfred Nobel remains at Coolmore Stud, Ireland, this year but will return to WA for the 2015 breeding season.
