Alfred’s Explosive Start

Explosive Lady, a first-crop daughter of Lynward Park shuttler Alfred Nobel, has made a top-class start to her career.

She won the Fillies Stakes (five furlongs) at Nottingham on debut July 5 then finished third to Osaila and Pastoral Girl in the Group 3 Princess Margaret Juddmonte Stakes (six furlongs) at Ascot last Thursday.
Osaila, by Danehill Dancer, the sire of Alfred Nobel, is trained by Richard Hannon for Qatar’s Al Shaqab Racing and is well fancied for next year’s Group 1 English One Thousand Guineas.
Alfred Nobel, a brilliant juvenile who won Ireland’s Group 1 Phoenix Stakes and Group 2 Railway Stakes and is from the outstanding family of English Derby winner New Approach, has had 10 runners in England and France for two winners and five placegetters.
