Balmont’s Run Continues

The winning run of Lynward Park’s Balmont continued when Tiger Exceed stormed home to take the $250,000 The Nogara (1350m) in Macau last weekend.

Tiger Exceed was bred in Ireland when Balmont was on shuttle duties and started his career in the UK as Tiger Sunset.
He won at Yarmouth in England and was placed at Yarmouth, Wolverhampton and Redcar in a seven-start career before being sold to Asian interests.
A three-year-old colt from Zuccini Flowers, by Entrepreneur, Tiger Exceed was most impressive in The Nogara. He sat fourth in running and scored by 1 1/4-lengths despite Panamanian jockey Ruben Silvera dropping his whip inside the final 200m.
Tiger Exceed’s time of 1.22.7 compared favourably with the course record 1.22.2.
