High Hopes For Trade Fair 3Y0

Trainer Simon Barrass has extremely high hopes for the Trade Fair three-year-old Traded Halo.
Traded Halo ran on from well back with a race best 34.41sec. final 600m to gain an easy 2 1/4-length debut win as $3.20 favourite in the Dolphin Insurance Maiden (1400m) at Northam on Thursday. (September 20)
“He’s a very good horse,” said Barrass. “He’s certain to go through the grades and will get over ground.
“He has so much potential.
“At the same time he still has a lot of growing to do. He’s like an immature young ruckman.”
Traded Halo is from Halon, by Don’t Say Halo. Halon is from the immediate family of the brilliant Dark Beau.
Dark Beau won 11 times including the Group 3 MVRC Stanley Wootton Stakes, Listed VATC Autumn Sprint, Listed WATC Cyril Flower Sprint and Listed WATC Australia Day Stakes. He was also second in the Group 1 VATC Oakleigh Plate and third in the Group 1 VATC Show Day Cup.
